This Act aims to make laws in New Zealand easy to find, use, and understand. You will find principles and rules to help interpret laws. The Act also helps make laws simpler and more consistent. The Act allows all laws to be published online in one place, except in some cases. It provides tools to keep laws up to date and make them easier to understand. This helps you and others understand the laws better. The Act supports Parliament and the public in reviewing laws. It also continues the work of the PCO, which helps achieve the purpose of this Act. You can expect laws to be modernised and simplified over time.
