144Chief Parliamentary Counsel to establish procedure for notifying vacancies and appointments, and reviewing appointments
The Chief Parliamentary Counsel must put in place a procedure that provides for—
- notifying any vacancy or prospective vacancy in a manner sufficient to enable suitably qualified people to apply for the position, except where it is impracticable to do so; and
- notifying PCO employees of every appointment (other than the appointment of an acting, temporary, or casual employee) to a vacant position in the PCO; and
- reviewing those appointments made to an advertised vacant position within the PCO that are the subject of any complaint by an employee of the PCO.
