Legislation Act 2019

Drafting and publishing of legislation - Drafting and publishing legislation - Annual report on exemptions from presentation and other drafting and publication matters

83A: Annual report on exemptions from presentation and other drafting and publication matters

You could also call this:

"A yearly report on how laws are made and shared, including exceptions to the rules."

The Chief Parliamentary Counsel has to prepare a report each year about some important things. You will want to know that this report is about how often people making laws used exemptions from presenting them in a certain way. The report also talks about other things related to designing, writing, and publishing laws that the Chief Parliamentary Counsel thinks are important. The Chief Parliamentary Counsel gives this report to the Attorney-General, who then presents it to the House of Representatives. You can find more information about changes to this law in the Secondary Legislation Act 2021.
