Legislation Act 2019

Interpretation and application of legislation - Revision Acts

62: Exceptions: when revision Act changes effect of old law

You could also call this:

"When a new law changes an old one, there are some exceptions to how it works."

When a revision Act changes the effect of an old law, you need to know that section 60 of the Legislation Act 2019 does not apply in certain situations. This happens when a provision of a revision Act is meant to change the old law, or if it has a different meaning than the old law. You can find more information about this by looking at section 60 of the Legislation Act 2019, and you can also compare this to other laws, such as the laws mentioned here and here.
