Crown Entities Act 2004

Establishment and governance of Crown entities - Statutory entities - Establishment of statutory entity

14: Functions

You could also call this:

"What jobs a statutory entity is supposed to do"

When you look at a statutory entity, you see it has some main jobs. These jobs are listed in the law that created the entity. The entity also has to do any other jobs the Minister in charge tells it to do, as long as this is allowed by the law and section 112 of this Act.

You also need to know the entity can do things that help it achieve its main jobs. When the entity does its jobs, it must always follow its main goals. This means the entity has to stay focused on what it is supposed to do.
