The House of Representatives can decide to cancel a direction under section 107 if they do it within 15 sitting days of the direction being presented to them. If the House of Representatives does not cancel the direction in that time, it automatically comes into force. You can think of a direction as an instruction given to a statutory entity or Crown entity company, and the House of Representatives has the power to stop it from happening if they choose to.
