If you are a member, chairperson, or deputy chairperson of a statutory entity, your actions are valid. This is true even if there was a problem with how you were appointed. It is also true if you are not allowed to be a member, or if the reason you were acting or appointed is no longer valid. Your actions are still valid in these situations.
