Crown Entities Act 2004

Miscellaneous provisions - Transitional and savings provisions

186: Continuation of existing board committees

You could also call this:

"Existing committees keep working as usual until they are stopped or members leave."

Illustration for Crown Entities Act 2004

When this part of the law starts, committees that already exist will keep working under this law until they are stopped. You will still be part of a committee if you were already on it, unless you are there because you work for the public service. If you are on a committee, you will keep being a member until you are removed or your time on the committee ends, and this is according to the rules in the Crown Entities Act 2004, which was amended by the Public Service Act 2020 and the Statutes Amendment Act 2019.
