172Penalties for offences

  1. Every person who commits an offence against section 171(1) is liable on conviction,—

  2. in the case of an individual, to a fine not exceeding $2,000; or
    1. in the case of a person or organisation other than an individual, to a fine not exceeding $5,000.
      1. Every person who commits an offence against section 171(2) is liable on conviction,—

      2. in the case of an individual, to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 12 months, or to a fine not exceeding $5,000; or
        1. in the case of a person or organisation other than an individual, to a fine not exceeding $15,000.
