If you are a member of a statutory entity and you have an interest in a matter, you must not vote on it. You also cannot take part in any discussions or decisions about the matter, or do anything else related to it for the entity. This means you cannot sign any documents about the matter either, and when the entity is discussing or deciding on the matter, you will not be counted as being at the meeting for the purpose of having enough people to make decisions.
