Immigration Advisers Licensing Act 2007

Regulation of immigration advisers - Licensing process

22: Duration of licence

You could also call this:

“How long your immigration adviser licence lasts”

When you get a full or limited licence, it lasts for 12 months from the day you receive it. If you have a provisional licence, it lasts for the time stated on the licence or until the date it expires.

These rules about how long licences last can change in some situations. Your licence might end early if it’s cancelled, suspended, or if you give it up yourself. The law explains when this can happen in different parts of the rules.

Your licence can be cancelled as explained in section 27 or section 51. It can be suspended as explained in section 51 or section 53. You can also choose to give up your licence yourself, which is explained in section 31.
