Regulation of immigration advisers - Immigration Advisers Complaints and Disciplinary Tribunal

40: Immigration Advisers Complaints and Disciplinary Tribunal established

You could also call this:

“A special group is set up to deal with complaints about immigration advisers”

There is a group called the Immigration Advisers Complaints and Disciplinary Tribunal. This group was created by the government to handle complaints about immigration advisers.

The Tribunal has several members. One person is chosen to be the leader, or chair, of the group. The Governor-General picks this person after the Minister of Justice and the Minister talk about it and make a suggestion.

The Governor-General also chooses other people to be in the Tribunal. Again, the Minister of Justice and the Minister discuss this and suggest who should be picked.

When the Tribunal needs to look at a problem, only one member of the group works on it. This means that for each issue they deal with, one person from the Tribunal is in charge of making decisions.
