Regulation of immigration advisers - Offences

70C: Contempt of Tribunal

You could also call this:

“You must behave properly at the Tribunal or face punishment”

If you misbehave at the Tribunal, you could be breaking the law. This includes insulting or getting in the way of the Tribunal, its members, witnesses, or officers. It’s also against the law to insult anyone attending the Tribunal, interrupt the proceedings, or disobey the Tribunal’s orders. If you do any of these things on purpose, you might have to pay a fine of up to $1,000. The Tribunal can also make you leave if they think you’re misbehaving, even if you haven’t been charged with an offence. Officers or police can remove you if necessary.
