The Immigration Advisers Authority is a group that works within the Department. It’s made up of two main parts. First, there’s a person called the Registrar of Immigration Advisers. The chief executive chooses this person for the job using the Public Service Act 2020. Second, there are other people who work in the Authority. The chief executive also chooses these people using the same law. The number of these other people can change depending on what’s needed.
