Miscellaneous provisions - Register of licensed immigration advisers

You could also call this:

“What information is kept about immigration advisers”

The register of licensed immigration advisers contains important information about people who can give immigration advice. Here’s what you’ll find in it:

You can see the full name and business address of everyone who has a licence to give immigration advice. Each adviser has a special number or identifier that you can find in the register. The register also shows where you can send important documents to the adviser.

If the adviser works for someone else, you can find out who their employer is. The register tells you when each adviser was first registered and what kind of licence they have - it could be a full licence, a limited licence, or a provisional licence.

Sometimes, there might be special rules or conditions for an adviser’s licence. The register will tell you about these. If an adviser’s licence was ever cancelled, given up, or suspended, you can see when that happened.

The register also includes a list of people who don’t need a licence to give immigration advice. You can find out who these people are.

If someone’s licence was cancelled or suspended, or if they tried to get a licence but weren’t allowed, their name will be on the register too.

The person in charge of the register might add other helpful information as well.
