“Changes to other laws and rules because of this Act”
This schedule lists the changes that need to be made to other laws and rules because of the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015. You’ll see two main groups of changes: one for Acts (which are big laws) and another for legislative instruments (which are smaller rules).
The first group shows changes to 24 different Acts. These include laws about buildings, emergencies, coroners, electricity, gas, income tax, and many others. Each of these laws will need to be updated to match the new Health and Safety at Work Act.
The second group shows changes to 10 different legislative instruments. These are about things like biosecurity costs, playgroups, electrical safety, gas safety, packaging of dangerous substances, and rules for mines. Just like the Acts, these rules will also need to be updated to fit with the new Health and Safety law.
