Health and Safety at Work Act 2015

Enforcement and other matters - Inspectors and health and safety medical practitioners - Inspectors

165: Suspension and ending of appointment of inspectors

You could also call this:

“How inspectors can be suspended or lose their job”

The person in charge, called the regulator, can stop an inspector from working at any time. They can do this for a short while, which is called suspension, or they can end the inspector’s job completely.

If an inspector no longer meets the requirements to be an inspector, their job automatically ends. This means they can’t keep working as an inspector if they don’t have the right qualifications or meet other important conditions anymore.
