Health and Safety at Work Act 2015

Enforcement and other matters - Enforcement measures - General provisions

114: Regulator may vary or cancel notice

You could also call this:

“Regulator can change or cancel notices given by inspectors or health and safety medical practitioners”

The regulator is the only one who can change or cancel a notice that an inspector or a health and safety medical practitioner has given out. There’s only one exception to this rule, which is explained in section 113. This means that if you receive a notice from an inspector or a health and safety medical practitioner, you can’t ask them to change or cancel it. Only the regulator has the power to do that.
