116Issue of notice
A notice may be issued to a person—
- by delivering it personally to the person; or
- by sending it to the person—
- by post to the person’s usual or last known place of residence or business; or
- by electronic transmission; or
- by post to the person’s usual or last known place of residence or business; or
- by leaving it for the person at the person's usual or last known place of residence or business with a person who appears to be 16 years or over and who appears to reside or work there; or
- by leaving it for the person at the workplace to which the notice relates with a person who is or appears to be in charge of the workplace; or
- in a prescribed manner.
Regulations may prescribe the steps a person to whom a notice is issued must take to bring it to the attention of other persons.
A notice posted under subsection (1)(b)(i) is to be treated as having been received on the seventh day after the date on which it was posted.
