51Content of New Zealand Health Plan
The New Zealand Health Plan must—
- contain an assessment of population health needs; and
- identify—
- desired improvements in health outcomes (desired improvements); and
- priorities for the desired improvements; and
- desired improvements in health outcomes (desired improvements); and
- specify, where appropriate, measurable outcomes for those priorities, including outcomes that are culturally specific; and
- describe how health entities will deliver service and investment changes to achieve the desired improvements, including—
- how Health New Zealand
will provide and commission services to achieve the desired improvements; and - how other health entities will contribute to achieving the desired improvements; and
- how Health New Zealand
- describe how the matters referred to in section 50(4) have been taken into account; and
- describe how government agencies, non-government agencies, organisations, and individuals will contribute to achieving the desired improvements; and
- set out—
- key services and activities to be delivered; and
- key performance measures; and
- key services and activities to be delivered; and
- set out how Health New Zealand
—- will achieve the purpose of this Act; and
- will engage with Māori, protect Māori interests and aspirations, and empower Māori to improve their health; and
- has been guided by the health sector principles in the development and content of the New Zealand Health Plan; and
- will achieve the purpose of this Act; and
- set out any other matters the Minister directs.
