Illustration for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022

The Minister can create a group called a ministerial committee to help with the Pae Ora Act. You know this group is called a ministerial committee because it is established by the Minister. The Minister decides what this group does and who is in it. The Minister can pick people to be in the group or lead it. The Minister can also stop the group or remove people from it. The group does what the Minister says it should do. The Minister decides who is in the group and how it works. The group can make its own rules, but it must follow any rules the Minister gives it. The Minister decides how much members get paid and what expenses they can claim. The Minister still has all their other powers, even with these groups.
