71Board of Pharmac to ensure advisory committees

  1. The board of Pharmac must ensure that there are the following advisory committees under clause 14(1)(a) of Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004:

  2. a pharmacology and therapeutics advisory committee to provide objective advice to Pharmac on pharmaceuticals and their benefits:
    1. a consumer advisory committee to provide input from a consumer or patient point of view.
      1. Despite clause 14(1)(a) of Schedule 5 of the Crown Entities Act 2004, the members of the pharmacology and therapeutics advisory committee are appointed by the Director-General in consultation with the board of Pharmac.
