Illustration for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022

If the Minister thinks a health entity needs to improve, they can send a written notice. You will be told what areas need improvement and why. The health entity must then create a plan to improve these areas. The Minister will approve the plan if it addresses the areas that need improvement. You must put the plan into action within the timeframe stated in the plan. The plan must be made public as soon as possible after it is approved. The health entity is responsible for making sure the plan is carried out. The plan is used to help the health entity improve its performance. You can access the plan once it is approved and made public.
