Illustration for Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022

You need to know that Health New Zealand must write a report every 5 years. This report is about how the New Zealand Health Charter is working in the health sector. The report also includes ideas for changing the charter. You will see that the report is given to the House of Representatives. It is also made available to the public. This happens as soon as possible after the report is finished. The report is an important document that helps people understand how the New Zealand Health Charter is working. It is reviewed and updated regularly to ensure it remains relevant. The Pae Ora (Disestablishment of Māori Health Authority) Amendment Act 2024 has also made some changes to this process.
