Parental Leave and Employment Protection Act 1987

Primary carer leave - Provisions applicable to pregnant employees only

16: Ability to perform work

You could also call this:

“What happens if pregnancy affects your job”

If you are pregnant and your pregnancy makes it unsafe or difficult for you to do your job, your employer can move you to a different job for a while. This is to keep you and others safe, and to make sure the work gets done properly. Your employer can only do this temporarily, which means it’s not a permanent change.
