59: Role of institutions

“How complaints about parental leave are handled by special groups”

If you have a complaint about parental leave, it can go to a special group called the Employment Relations Authority. When this happens, certain rules apply. These rules are found in sections 177 to 184 of the Employment Relations Act 2000. They explain how the Authority will handle your complaint.

If you’re not happy with what the Authority decides, you can appeal to the Court of Appeal. For these appeals, different rules apply. These are found in sections 214 and 215 of the same Act. These sections explain how the Court of Appeal will deal with your case.
