Payment for parental leave - Administration

71S: Backdating of payments

You could also call this:

“Catching up on payments if you apply late for parental leave money”

If you apply for parental leave payments on or after the day your parental leave starts, your first payment will include money for the time from when your leave began. This means you won’t miss out on any payments, even if you don’t apply right away. The government will give you the money you should have received from the start of your leave, along with your first regular payment.
