If you want to be a candidate for more than one local board, there are some rules you need to follow. The electoral officer will only accept your nomination for another local board if you comply with these rules. You must give the electoral officer a written notice that says which local boards you want to be elected to, and you must rank them in order of priority.

You will also need to submit a candidate profile statement for each local board election, and in each statement, you must say what your rankings are. When you write your candidate profile statement, the information about your rankings does not count towards the word limit set out in section 61(2)(a) of the Local Electoral Act 2001.

A candidate profile statement is a statement you make according to section 61 of the Local Electoral Act 2001, and you must follow the rules in that section when you write yours.
