145Applications for maintenance by applicants residing in Convention countries

  1. Where the Secretary receives from the responsible authority in a Convention country—

  2. an application by a person who claims to be entitled to recover maintenance from a person who is for the time being residing in New Zealand; or
    1. an application for the variation, suspension, or discharge of an order made under this section—
      1. the Secretary shall cause the application, together with all relevant accompanying documents, to be sent to the Registrar of the office of the District Court in New Zealand that is nearest to the place in New Zealand at which the respondent resides or is last known to have resided.
