Illustration for Family Proceedings Act 1980

When you are in a court case under the Family Proceedings Act 1980, you need to know how reports of the case can be published. The rules for publishing reports are found in sections 11B to 11D of the Family Court Act 1980. These rules apply to most cases, but not to criminal cases under section 130. If your case is in the Family Court, these rules apply directly. If your case is in a different court, the rules still apply, but you replace "Family Court" with the name of the court you are in. This means the rules for publishing reports are the same, no matter which court you are in.
