Information-gathering power: Bank’s information-gathering power

263Information about particular customer, client, or natural person not required

  1. A relevant person is not required to supply information under section 262 relating to the affairs of—

  2. a particular customer or client; or
    1. a particular natural person (unless the natural person is itself a relevant person).
      1. If a relevant person is required to supply information under section 262 relating to the affairs of a natural person, the Bank must comply with the information privacy principles set out in section 22 of the Privacy Act 2020.
