You are protected if you work for the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. This means you are not liable for certain acts or omissions. You can check the Crimes Act 1961 for more information. You are protected if you are a member of the board, a member of the MPC, the Governor, a member of a committee, an employee of the Bank, an investigator, or a statutory manager. You are not liable for any excluded act or omission. But this does not apply to certain offences, like those under section 78 of the Crimes Act 1961. This protection does not apply to everything, like proceedings for certain offences. You can check section 184 for more information about the liability of a member of the board to the Bank. This section is also subject to sections 165 to 168 of the Search and Surveillance Act 2012.
