This law used to be about loans given to employees as part of share purchase schemes. However, it’s no longer in effect. The government removed this rule on 29 March 2018. This means that if you’re an employee or an employer, you don’t need to worry about this specific rule anymore when it comes to loans for buying shares in your company.
