The law about ‘Treatment of certain foreign losses’ used to be in this section. However, it no longer applies. The government removed this part of the law on 1 April 2011. This means that from that date, any rules that were in this section no longer work. If you want to know how foreign losses are treated now, you’ll need to look at other parts of the tax law.

Section HA 25: repealed, on (applying for income years beginning on or after 1 April 2011), by section 74(1) of the Taxation (GST and Remedial Matters) Act 2010 (2010 No 130).
