“Explains the types of company registers kept by the Registrar and how they are maintained”

The Registrar must keep two registers in New Zealand. One register is for companies registered under Part 2 or reregistered under this Act. The other register is for overseas companies registered or deemed to be registered under Part 18.

The Registrar can decide how to keep these registers. They can use any method they think is suitable. This includes using electronic devices or other means to record or store information. Whatever method is used, it must allow the information to be easily viewed or copied into a usable form.
