Companies Act 1993

Registrar of Companies

360C: Alteration of entries on New Zealand register and overseas register without application

You could also call this:

“Registrar can update company information without being asked”

You should know that if a company gives the Registrar of Companies more information about itself than it has to by law, the Registrar can update this information. This can happen if the same information is updated in the New Zealand Business Number Register. The Registrar can change the information the company provided and update the New Zealand register to match what’s in the New Zealand Business Number Register.

This applies to any extra information a company has given, whether it was before or after this rule was made, and whether people can see it on the New Zealand register or not. The Registrar can do this without the company asking for the change.
