355: Removal from register
or “How the Registrar removes a company from the New Zealand register”

You could also call this:

“What happens when a company is removed from the register”

If a company is removed from the New Zealand register under section 355, it doesn’t change who the company is or stop it from being a legal person. The company keeps all its property, rights, and responsibilities. Any legal proceedings involving the company can still go ahead.

If someone wanted to start or continue legal action against a company before it was removed from the New Zealand register under section 355, they can still do so. The legal action would be against the company that continues to exist after being removed from the register.
