If you share information about a sentence indication before the court has made a final decision, you can get in trouble. This includes talking about a request for a sentence indication or a sentence indication that has already been given. You are not allowed to share this information until after the defendant has been sentenced or the charge has been dismissed.

If you do share this information, you can be charged with an offence. If you are found guilty, you could face a penalty.

As an individual, you could go to prison for up to 3 months, or as a company, you could be fined up to $50,000.
