You could also call this:
"Changes to other laws because of new rules about what the public can know and what can be reported"
The Criminal Procedure Act 2011 has some extra rules that affect other laws. You can find these rules in a part of the act called a schedule. This schedule is about changing some laws because of new rules about public access and what can be reported.
These changes affect many laws, including the Armed Forces Discipline Act 1971, the Court Martial Act 2007, and the Crimes Act 1961. They also affect the Criminal Justice Act 1985, the District Courts Act 1947, and the Evidence Act 2006.
The schedule also mentions the Land Transport Act 1998, the Parole Act 2002, the Sentencing Act 2002, the Summary Proceedings Act 1957, and the Victims' Rights Act 2002, which all have changes because of the new rules about public access and reporting, as empowered by s 393.
