Fast-track Approvals Act 2024

Fast-track approvals process - Panel consideration of substantive application - EPA powers and duties relating to substantive application

92: EPA powers to make certain decisions

You could also call this:

“EPA can help panels by making some choices, but must follow rules and work quickly”

The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) can make administrative decisions that help a panel do its job. However, the EPA can’t make decisions that go against or stop the panel from following the rules in clause 5 of Schedule 3.

When the EPA does its job under this law, it needs to try its best to keep costs low and avoid delays. This means the EPA should work efficiently and not waste time or money.
