Fast-track Approvals Act 2024

Fast-track approvals process - Miscellaneous provisions - Cost recovery

112: Liability for costs if application lodged, or to be lodged, by more than 1 person

You could also call this:

“Sharing costs when more than one person applies together”

When more than one person wants to submit an application together, this law applies to them. If you are one of these people, you need to know that all of you are responsible for paying the costs related to the application. This means that if one person can’t pay their share, the others might have to pay more to cover the full amount. The costs are described in other parts of the law, specifically in sections 104 and 111. Remember, even if you’re not the only one applying, you could still be asked to pay for all the costs if needed.
