Fast-track Approvals Act 2024

Fast-track approvals process - Panel consideration of substantive application - Steps by EPA after substantive application lodged

49: EPA obtains section 18 report for listed project

You could also call this:

“EPA gets a quick report about your project from another agency”

When you apply for approval of a listed project, the Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) needs to get a special report. They ask the agency in charge of the project to write this report. The report has to include certain information, but not everything that’s usually required. The agency has 10 working days to give the EPA this report after they’re asked for it. This helps the EPA understand more about your project before they make a decision.
