This page is about a bill. That means that it's not the law yet, but some people want it to be the law. It could change quickly, and some of the information is just a draft.

Fast-track Approvals Bill

Fast-track approval approvals process for eligible projects - Decisions about referral of projects and process of referral - Decision on referral application

22E: Timing of decision to decline referral application

You could also call this:

“When the Minister can say no to your application”

If someone wants to decline your referral application, they can do so at different times. They can decide to decline it before or after they ask for comments about your application. They can also decline it before or after they get a report about your application. They can even decline it whether or not they’ve asked for more information about your application.

However, if they’ve already gotten a report, or if they’ve asked for comments or more information and received them on time, the Minister has to look at all of these things along with your application before they can decide to decline it. This means they have to consider everything they’ve received before making their decision.
