24VAAquaculture decision required for certain coastal permits

  1. This section applies if the EPA requests the chief executive to make a recommendation on an aquaculture decision under section 24FA .

  2. The panel must, at least 5 working days before the date prescribed by section 24V , make an aquaculture decision in accordance with clause 16 of Schedule 4 .

  3. The EPA—

  4. must provide electronic copies of an aquaculture decision to—
    1. the relevant consent authority; and
      1. the persons and organisations who supplied information to the chief executive; and
        1. the persons and organisations consulted by the chief executive; and
        2. in complying with paragraph (a) , may withhold information if the EPA is satisfied that there would be good reason to withhold the information under the Official Information Act 1982 if the information were requested under that Act.
