Wildlife Act 1953

Protection of wildlife - Wildlife sanctuaries

10: All wildlife in sanctuaries absolutely protected

You could also call this:

"Wildlife in sanctuaries is totally safe and must be protected"

In a wildlife sanctuary, you must protect all wildlife. This means all animals in the sanctuary are safe from harm while they are inside it. The wildlife is protected, even if it is not protected in other areas.

If there are special rules made under section 9 or section 11, they can affect how wildlife is protected in a sanctuary. You must follow these rules when you are in a wildlife sanctuary. This helps keep the animals safe.
