67: Penalties for offences in respect of marine wildlife

67Penalties for offences in respect of marine wildlife

  1. Every person who—

              1. commits an offence against section 63A (which relates to the taking of absolutely or partially protected marine wildlife) is liable to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 2 years, or to a fine not exceeding $250,000, or both:
                1. commits an offence against section 63B (which relates to the reporting of accidental or incidental death of absolutely or partially protected wildlife) shall be liable to a fine not exceeding $10,000.
