Wildlife Act 1953

Administration - Rangers

40: Obstructing persons acting under this Act

You could also call this:

"Don't stop rangers or helpers from doing their job under the Wildlife Act"

If you stop a ranger or someone helping them from doing their job under the Wildlife Act 1953, you are doing something wrong. You must not get in their way on purpose or use bad language to them. You also must not refuse to do what they ask you to do, like something they can ask you to do under section 39C(1)(a). If you do not listen to them, you can get in trouble and have to pay a penalty, which is explained in section 67D. A person acting under this Act includes a ranger, someone helping a ranger under section 39(1)(e), or someone who is allowed to arrest people under section 39E(2) and section 39F. You should know what these people do so you can respect their work and follow the rules.
