19A: Game bird habitat stamp

When you get a game licence, you might need a game bird habitat stamp on it. The Minister can say you need this stamp when they tell you about the open season under section 15. You get the stamp at the same time as your licence.

The stamp must be in a form that the Minister approves after talking to the New Zealand Fish and Game Council and the New Zealand Game Bird Habitat Trust Board. The form of the stamp is published in the Gazette. You have to pay a fee for the stamp when you get your game licence.

19AGame bird habitat stamp

  1. In any notification of an open season given under section 15, the Minister may require that a game bird habitat stamp be displayed on every game licence.

  2. A game bird habitat stamp shall—

  3. be in a form—
    1. approved by the Minister on the recommendation of the New Zealand Fish and Game Council made after having regard to the views expressed by Fish and Game Councils and the New Zealand Game Bird Habitat Trust Board; and
      1. published in the Gazette; and
      2. if the stamp is being obtained for the purpose of displaying it on a game licence, be obtained at the same time as the licence is obtained.

        1. The prescribed fee shall be payable in respect of every game bird habitat stamp supplied in respect of a game licence.
