67D: Penalty for offence of obstructing ranger

You could also call this:

"What happens if you stop a ranger from doing their job"

If you are found guilty of obstructing a ranger or other authorised person under section 40(1), you can get in trouble. You might go to prison for up to 2 years, or you might have to pay a fine of up to $100,000, or you might get both. If you are a company, you might have to pay a fine of up to $200,000.

If you are an individual, the punishment is different from a company. You can be punished with imprisonment or a fine, or both, but a company can only be fined. The fine for a company is more than for an individual.
