As an enforcement officer, you have some key jobs. You investigate if people are following the Outer Space and High-altitude Activities Act, its regulations, and the conditions of licences, permits, and authorisations. You also take reasonable steps to ensure people comply with the Act, its regulations, and the conditions of licences, permits, and authorisations.

You promote compliance by providing information, education, and advice about the requirements of the Act, its regulations, and the conditions of licences, permits, and authorisations. This helps people understand what they need to do to follow the rules.

The rules you enforce are part of the Outer Space and High-altitude Activities Act, which has been amended by the Outer Space and High-altitude Activities Amendment Act 2025, as seen on the New Zealand legislation website.
